Make A Paper Wreath With Embroidery

Embroidered wreaths are a great way to add some colour and texture to your home. They look lovely hanging on doorways or window sills and make a wonderful gift for friends and family. You don't need any difficult skills to create these gorgeous paper decorations, just follow the instructions and enjoy making your own floral masterpiece.

The wreath embroidery template is printed onto quality paper.  Making it is a bit like doing a dot-to-dot but with wool rather than a pencil.  Once the paper embroidery is finished, cut out the wreath shape, thread through the ribbon and find a good spot to display it, that’s assuming you are keeping it for yourself!  They are perfect gifts for birthdays, Mother's Day, Christmas and Valentine's Day so you may be torn!

The wreath (without ribbon) is approx 19cm wide x 21cm high (7.5 x 8.25 inches).

The velvet ribbon is a gorgous shade of gold and adjustable in length to fit your space perfectly.

Each embroidery kit is wrapped in tissue paper and presented boxed, branded with the product image on the front, making it ready for gifting.

There is also a large wreath kit available in our store.

Embroidery Stitches

The wreath embroidery is made using a zig zag stitch, a fun and simple stitch for beginners to master.

Flowers Symbolism

The pink and white flowers are cosmos and symbolise devotion, faithfulness, friendship and peace. Phlox symbolize companionship and marigolds positive emotions and energy.

Leah Nikolaou is a Mixed Media Textile designer who enjoys works from her home and garden in rural Somerset where she grows many of the flowers she uses in her paper embroidery collections.  Cosmos are a particular favourite that she has used in many embroidery designs because of her love for their symbolism.  There are many card embroidery designs available that also double as little keepsakes as well as a larger wreath if you’re looking to take on a large embroidery project.
