Handmade Wedding Favours – Embroidered Flower Card

Why not make a flower shaped gift that also doubles as a homemade wedding favour to thank each guest for being part of your special day? Each pressed flower wedding favour comes in the shape of a beautiful flower, starting as a pressed floral paper template for you to embroider.  You can personalise each favour with a tag of your choosing, most bride and grooms choose their names and date of their wedding. Simply choose a sentiment tag and cut it out, hand embroider the design, cut out the flower shape and add a silky ribbon. It's that simple!  They look elegant when finished and will look beautiful when displayed on the table during the reception or hung in a display for people to take when leaving.  The step by step instructions are completely suited to beginners who have never embroidered before!

Artist

Leah Nikolaou is a Mixed Media Textile designer who enjoys works from her home and garden in rural Somerset where she grows many of the flowers she uses in her artwork.  Cosmos are a particular favourite that she has used in many of her embroidery designs.  They press well because of their structure and open flat faces.
